About HK Theatre Association
Founded in 2007 by Emilie Guillot, HKTA aims to train and encourage emerging artists to nurture their creativity and express themselves through bold new works that push the creative envelope. We are committed to a rigorous, adventurous and passionate exploration of a wide variety of theatrical art forms that are geared towards the global audience.
Professional working artists with recognized speech and drama qualifications lead our acting workshops.
We offer our members and the Hong Kong public with a diversity of expression, fresh creativity and an imaginative spectrum of creative curriculum.
Message from our Artistic Director
‘I have devoted my life to art because at the essence of art, is a journey in self discovery. This idea is essential to human development. And it is with human development that great societies will evolve and thrive!
As the founder of HKTA, I have the pleasure of bringing together a diverse group of artists, individuals, corporate and professionals. Together we can collaborate on new works of inspiration that will touch and motivate communities in Hong Kong. This is both my way of fulfilling my dreams and of pushing the current nature and focus of drama societies.
So, welcome aboard our creative ship. The journey is bound to be both profound and entertaining, but most crucially, lasting.’
